Op PAWSIBLE Competitions – Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to competitions run by Care after Combat as part of Op PAWSIBLE. Each individual competition post will set out the specific challenge, prize, closing date and judging criteria.
- Eligibility: Competitions are open to participants worldwide unless otherwise stated in the individual competition post.
- Age: Entrants must be aged 13 or over. Anyone under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian to enter and for their submission to be used and shared in accordance with these terms.
- No purchase necessary: No purchase or donation is required to enter an Op PAWSIBLE competition unless expressly stated otherwise. Where a competition features JJ Bear, entrants may use an official JJ Bear or create their own version of JJ using a drawing, model, printout, artwork or other creative interpretation.
- How to enter: Entrants must follow the entry instructions given in the relevant competition post. Unless otherwise stated, entries should be posted publicly on social media using the hashtags specified for that competition so that Care after Combat can identify the entry.
- One entry per person: Only one entry per person will be considered for each competition. We would love to see your adventures as they happen, but additional submissions from the same person will not be considered when selecting the winner.
- Closing date: Entries must be received by the closing date and time stated in the relevant competition post. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.
- Original content: Entrants must only submit photographs, artwork, videos or other material that they have created themselves or have permission to use.
- Other people appearing in entries: If another identifiable person appears in a submission, the entrant is responsible for ensuring that they have that person’s permission for the image or content to be submitted and shared. Where a child appears in an entry, permission must be obtained from their parent or guardian.
- Sharing your entry: By entering, participants give Care after Combat permission to reproduce and share their competition submission on Care after Combat’s website, social media channels, newsletters and other communications associated with Op PAWSIBLE and the promotion of Care after Combat. Credit will be given wherever reasonably practicable.
- Judging: Entries will be judged against the criteria stated in the relevant competition post. Where judging is subjective, the judging arrangements will include appropriate independent involvement. The judges’ decision will be final.
- The prize: The prize for each competition will be stated in the relevant competition post. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
- International winners: Delivery of physical prizes to international addresses may be subject to postal delays, customs restrictions or other practical limitations. Where necessary, Care after Combat reserves the right to provide an alternative prize of approximately equivalent value.
- Winner notification: The winner will normally be announced within two weeks of the competition closing. Care after Combat will contact the winner by direct message on the social media platform used to submit their entry, or by another contact method provided as part of the competition.
- Claiming the prize: If a winner does not respond within 14 days of being contacted, Care after Combat reserves the right to select another eligible winning entry.
- Personal information: Any personal information provided in connection with a competition will be used only as reasonably necessary to administer the competition, contact the winner, arrange delivery of the prize and fulfil Care after Combat’s legal obligations.
- Inappropriate entries: Care after Combat reserves the right to reject or disqualify any entry that is fraudulent, offensive, unsafe, unlawful, infringes another person’s rights or does not comply with these terms or the requirements of the individual competition.
- Safety: Entrants are responsible for ensuring that any activity undertaken in creating an entry is safe and lawful. No competition requires or encourages participants to place themselves or anybody else at risk.
- Changes or cancellation: Care after Combat reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel a competition where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.
- Social media platforms: Op PAWSIBLE competitions are administered by Care after Combat. Unless expressly stated otherwise, they are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with the social media platforms on which they appear.
- Promoter: The promoter is Care after Combat, Registered Charity No. 1159342, Scottish Charity No. SCO54484, of Newark Beacon Centre, Cafferata Way, Newark NG24 2TN.
