These bike nights are a regular sight at Castle Cafe around this time of year, taking place every Thursday through the summer months. In this article, however, we’ll be discussing one night in particular, taking place on the 13th of June, that will be dedicated to Care after Combat!
This special night will combine the love for motorcycles with a heartfelt mission: to support Care after Combat and by extension, veterans in the justice system who require the support and resources we provide.
What are These Bike Nights All About?

Last year’s bike night, which took place in June 2023, was a huge success, with approximately 1000 bikes in attendance! Even more mind-blowing was the over £2000 the event was able to raise!
This isn’t a one-off story of success, however. These bike nights have been a hit with bikers and non-bikers from the area and beyond for the past few years.
Each past event has been an incredible experience. There is always something for attendees to take part in, from getting involved in auctions, raffles, and bike-related competitions to enjoying live music. The Castle Café team works hard to ensure everyone in attendance is provided with food and refreshments, making it a delightful experience for all.
As many of the attendees are veterans themselves or have people close to them who are veterans, events such as this also provide an open and supportive space for people to share their stories and spend time with people who have had similar experiences.
Community is at the heart of Castle Café bike nights. It brings together people from all walks of life—veterans, bikers, residents, and supporters—creating an environment where everyone can feel connected. Opportunities to build and strengthen community ties are invaluable, and this event offers a unique chance to foster relationships, share experiences, and support each other in meaningful ways.
